Christopher J. Orton

NAPA Patron

Chris trained in opera at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and then did a post grad. in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Since graduating he has gone on to perform in musicals including Spend Spend Spend, Martin Guerre, Peter Pan, Songs For a New World and The Hot Mikado. Most recently he has appeared as Jackson in the critically acclaimed production of the Hired Man. He is currently starring as Lancelot in Spamalot in the West End.

 

As well as performing, Chris writes music and has written 8 musicals, the most well known being "My Lands Shore" wriiten with Robert Gould and "Dracula", written with Gareth Evans. Recordings of these shows are still being sold across the world. With Robert Gould, he has also written 4 comedy plays, one of which won a new writing award and was performed at the Watermill Theatre in Newbury. Chris also created and manages a group called The Fly Boys who perform on cruise ships and at functions across the UK.

 

Chris is extremly proud to be a patron of such a talented young group of people and wishes them all every success in the industry.
